Yacht Club Lagoon based in Split, Croatia has launched the new yachting season with their second consecutive regatta connecting the home port with islands of Solta and Hvar.
There were over 100 participants in category of catamaran yachts from Russia, Ukraine, UK, Germany, US, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.
Organizers were proud to have people from the business and finance world as well as footballers and beauty pageant winners aboard. "We wanted to promote the yachting season and therefore we had a scoop of people addicted to sailing and loving the Adriatic Sea", a spokesperson for Yacht Club Lagoon has commented.
The international regatta has at the same time promoted the beauty of Split and the islands of Hvar and Solta.
The route included some of the most attractive Dalmatian spots - Roman emperor Diocletian's palace in Split, a picturesque bay of Maslinica on island Solta and the town of Hvar known as Saint Tropez of Adriatic with stunning archipelago of Pakleni islands and the best restaurants and lounge bars.
